The Value of Infotainment [Episode 24]
Tuesday Jun 26, 2018
Tuesday Jun 26, 2018
This week Kevin and Greg discuss the value of infotainment. It's no longer enough to publish informative content, now you need to be entertaining and engaging as you do it. The more entertaining your rich media content is, the more chances you have to captivate, engage and create an audience.
Infotainment is not a new concept. Think back to television shows such as Sesame Street and other shows of the 70's. These show understood the value in education while entertaining. Infotainment.
Key Takeaways:
• Shows like The Nine Club Show…Chris Roberts, Roger Bagley & Kelly Hart - those guys are just entertaining as they’re talking and doing their interviews and you are learning a whole lot about their guests.
• You must understand how important it is to grab and hold attention online. There’s a ton of competition a ton of noise, there are a ton of other options. Why are they going to watch your video or read your blog and go to your company website.
• The last thing you want is the Charlie Brown teacher syndrome when you are tying to disseminate information to a market or to an audience and all they hear is Womp Womp Wah Womp Womp

BONUS CONTENT: Missed Opportunities

Saturday Jun 23, 2018
Nothing is worse than missing a good business opportunity other than misplaying the fallout from missing that opportunity. In many instances it’s best to debrief, pick up the pieces, learn from it and move forward. Greg Taylor discusses in the Trinity Web Minute brought to you by Trinity Web Media.
In business and in life, hindsight is always 50/50 and sometimes we realize after the fact that we missed an opportunity. Greg Taylor offers these tips to recover and grow from a missed opportunity.
First things first, dwelling over a missed opportunity will not change the outcome. As much as we wish we would have recognized the opportunity, moving forward and learning from your mistake, so you do not repeat it, is key. Next, position yourself to make the changes so that the mistake is not made again. And the most important tip is to not go chasing the missed opportunity. It already happened. Let it live in the past because sometimes going after that opportunity can derail you from the progress you are making in other areas and could potentially create new or more problems.
So if you have missed a potential opportunity, recognize the problem, make the necessary changes so you do not repeat the mistake and don’t try to change or control the outcome.

Thursday Jun 21, 2018
On this week’s Trinity Web Minute, Greg Taylor offers these suggestions to be better equipped for adapting and changing with the flow of your business.
On last week’s Trinity Web Minute, we talked about how failing to adapt to change is the biggest “killer” of your business. This week we dig deeper to address the larger issues and how to adapt to those changes.
A technique Trinity uses across the board, for all departments is the review, refine, repeat technique.
Review:
We suggest a quarterly review of whatever process you are testing. We suggest allowing enough time to actually see the results of whatever your testing.
Refine:
Assess the results
Repeat:
Keep doing what is working and tweak what isn’t. But the changes shouldn’t be so drastic that you change the complete process. It should be gradual changes
